Plymouth Men's basketball captures OT win over Keene State

Plymouth State Men's Basketball defeated Keene State in an overtime thriller by a score of 78-70 on Tuesday, February 10 in Keene. The victory improved PSU's overall record to 10-12 with a Little East record of 6-5. Keene State fell to 10-11 overall with a 6-5 in the LEC.
Overtime goal lifts PSU Men's Hockey over Johnson & Wales

Plymouth State University junior Chris Chambers lifted the Panthers to a 5-4-overtime victory over Johnson & Wales on Sat., February 7 at the Waterville Valley Arena. The overtime winner completed a four-goal rally for PSU who snapped a two game skid with the victory.

As we near the end of the winter sports season, we thought it would be appropriate to give out some awards to some of our beloved teams and athletes here at The PSU. Team of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year- The Plymouth State University Football team, after a few years in the cellar of the NEFC, the Panthers returned to the top of the mountain and captured the league title and a berth in the NCAA playoffs.

In what has been a tough season for Plymouth State University women's ice hockey there has been one constant; Lindsay DeLorie. The Holliston, Mass. resident has made it her business to be a puck-stopping machine for PSU. Her most recent outing against St. A's yielded 59 saves, her second best of the season.

The Plymouth State University Women's Hockey team lost a tough game to St. Anselm of Manchester 9-0. This game is the latest in a tough season for PSU women's hockey.
Face Off: Salary cap for baseball? Is it right or not?

This week for The Face Off the two sports writing titans on campus will face off on the issue of a salary cap for baseball. Should MLB follow the lead of the NFL and have a cap for all the franchises in the league? Will this be the first step in leveling the playing field for teams and make it harder for a few teams to stack their rosters much like the Yankees have this season? Young: Well it appears as if I will get the ball rolling on this debate and agree with the idea of a salary cap for baseball.
